Drop by our talk at 955 Queen Street East (Heward Ave side) and learn about the joys of growing a pollinator garden in the city.

Councillor Fletcher has arranged for free compost at several locations: click on this LINK to find out more. Saturday, April 20, at Jimmie Simpson Park, Phin Park, Monarch Park and Kempton Howard Park. Sunday April 21, at Greenwood Park and Riverdale Park.

Join a clean-up crew or start your own crew and register HERE. You can pick up free supplies starting at 10am at Ralph Thornton Community Centre, 765 Queen Street East. Our wrap party for clean-up crews runs from 1-2pm.

Want to learn about what to do if you come across hazards or sharp materials during a neighbourhood clean-up? Our expert is giving a 10 minute talk on this at 10AM and will be onsite from 10am-2pm for any questions. LOCATION: Ralph Thornton Community Centre, 765 Queen Street East.

Come to Bike Sauce at 341 Broadview Avenue (South of Gerrard) where you can fix your bicycle using our tools and recycled or new parts. A volunteer will:  

• help you get your bike on a stand, 
• help you assess your bike, 
• discuss approaches for your repair and show you the tools and parts needed 
• answer your questions.     

When your repair is complete we'll ask you to pay for parts and consider making a donation.   Donations help us keep the lights on.  https://www.bikesauce.org/

Would you like to grow hops at home? Do you have a south-facing garden with room for vines that really CLIMB? Whether you are a home brewer or want to contribute your hops back to the brewery or if you just like the novelty of growing hops, this is a super easy addition to your home garden.  Drop by Saulter Street Brewery on Saturday after 12 noon and staff will explain how easy it is to grow hops at home, they will take down your information and let you know when the rhizomes are ready for pick-up.
